Heading up our Asia Pacific desk, Rob joins MD Communications with 20 years of experience in editing and content writing in the legal sector. He is a dual citizen of Australia and the UK, and has studied and worked in both countries. After qualifying as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, he worked in London for 17 years.
For 10 of those 17 years, Rob worked at Chambers and Partners. His work at the company included researching, writing and editing content for multiple editions of the company’s various publications. These included ‘Chambers UK’, ‘Chambers Global’, ‘Chambers USA’, ‘Chambers Europe’, ‘Chambers Asia’ and ‘Chambers Student Guide’.
In addition, Rob’s work at Chambers and Partners involved interviewing lawyers and law firm clients from all over the world, in a multitude of different practice areas. He was Deputy Editor of the company’s flagship publication ‘Chambers UK’ for three years, helping to manage a team of over 40 researchers.
After leaving Chambers and Partners, Rob’s work included being an experiential trainer for PCA Law in London. This work allowed him to draw on both his legal background and his experience as a professional actor. Specifically, Rob helped to train a range of UK law firm clients in personal communication skills, through presentations and interactive roleplay exercises with detailed feedback sessions. He also wrote and edited articles and blog posts for the PCA Law website and social media platforms.
In Australia, Rob’s recent work includes writing and editing articles for the websites of national law firm Go to Court Lawyers and Sydney Criminal Lawyers. He now divides his time between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
